PRF seizes more than 850 T-shirts, sandals and handbags with signs of counterfeiting

Products were found in three buses that traveled on BR-153. Inspection was done in Gurupi, south of Tocantins.

 

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 858 T-shirts, pairs of sandals, bags and other products with strong signs of counterfeiting.

 

The products were found in the compartment of three buses, at Km 666 of BR 153, in the municipality of Gurupi, southern Tocantins, in the early hours of Tuesday (24).

 

The PRF said it was doing surveillance on the highway, when he approached the vehicles and found several volumes in the cargo compartment without identification labels and no tax document.

 

The cargo was inspected, and the police found goods from several known brands with signs of counterfeiting. The names of the brands were not informed. They were: 785 T-shirts, 38 pairs of sandals, 10 units of purses, 15 shirts, and some units of pendants and chains.

 

The suspect load was transferred to a truck and the bus was released. In view of the information, at first it was found that the occurrence of Import, export, sell, offer, expose for sale, have in stock product marked with illicitly reproduced brand. The entire load was delivered to the Federal Revenue Service in Palmas.
