Participation in public audience of external committee
On March 17th, the Brand Protection Group – BPG participated in the Public Hearing of the External Commission on Acts of Piracy and the “Brasil Legal” Agenda, headed by Federal Deputy Júlio Lopes.
The meeting brought together experts to discuss mechanisms for combating illegal activities that impact trademarks, patents, and the country’s competitiveness. On that occasion, Luiz Claudio Garé, represented BPG and highlighted the importance of legislative improvements in the fight against counterfeiting, specifically mentioning Bills 3375/2024 and 4131/2024. He also emphasized the need to strengthen law enforcement agencies and the National Council for Combating Piracy.
The dialogue facilitated was essential for advancing solutions that foster a more ethical, competitive, and secure business environment.
