The Brand Protection Group – BPG is a non-profit organization founded in 2002, which brings together brands from different branches of the market worldwide, with the common objective of combating the Illegal Market in Brazil.
Among the main objectives of the association are the fight against all violations of intellectual property rights, unfair competition, smuggling and trade in illicit products that do not meet the requirements of government regulatory bodies. The association also promotes the protection of Consumer Rights, curbing the sale of illegal products in the country.
In order to fulfill its corporate purpose, the association works with the competent bodies of the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches, in addition to promoting training in the identification of products from the Illegal Market, with the help of guidelines provided by the brands.
