Federal Revenue Service Seizes Over R$ 1 Million in Counterfeit Goods in Salvador

The operation inspected four outlets and removed 456 packages containing clothing, shoes, and accessories from circulation

The Federal Revenue Service seized over R$1 million in counterfeit goods during an operation carried out this Thursday (6) in Salvador. In total, 456 packages containing clothing, shoes, and accessories were found being sold at four establishments in the capital of Bahia.

The inspected outlets were identified following investigations and are located in the neighborhoods of Cajazeiras, Caminho de Areia, Cabula, and Rio Vermelho. According to the Federal Revenue Service, investigations are ongoing to identify the origin of the goods and determine whether the establishments involved will be held liable.

The operation involved 44 officials and is part of the enforcement actions carried out by the agency to combat the import and sale of counterfeit goods in the country.

All seized items will undergo technical analysis. Based on the results and the progress of the investigations, the Federal Revenue Service will assess possible irregularities and determine the liability of the inspected stores.
