Military Police Seizes About 1,500 Bottles of Perfume and Arrest Man for Smuggling
The incident occurred in Andradina
On Sunday afternoon (13), military police officers from the Tactical Force of the 28th BPM/I arrested a 41-year-old man for smuggling in Andradina.
While on patrol, the team received a tip that a vehicle had been loaded with suspicious boxes near the bus station. The officers approached the vehicle and subsequently located another vehicle whose driver identified himself as the owner of the merchandise.
Upon inspection, 128 boxes were found containing approximately 1,500 bottles of perfume that lacked the proper customs clearance.
The man, the vehicles, and the merchandise were transferred to the Federal Police in Araçatuba, where the arrest was confirmed.
In total, a Chevrolet Spin vehicle and the cargo—valued at approximately R$400,000—were seized, dealing a significant blow to the criminal operation.
