Man Arrested with a Shipment of Contraband Goods in Capim Grosso
Cigarettes, cosmetics, and other products without receipts were seized during the operation
A man was arrested on Thursday afternoon (10) with an illegal shipment of contraband goods in the Sacramento neighborhood of Capim Grosso.
According to the Military Police, officers from the 91st CIPM were conducting Operation Quatro Contornos when they spotted the driver of a pickup truck making a sudden turn at an unmarked intersection.
Faced with this situation, the officers stopped the driver. During the stop, the officers found that the suspect was transporting various products of dubious origin. The shipment included cigarettes from Paraguay, medicinal products, cigarette paper, tobacco, and cosmetics. The items lacked receipts to prove the legality and origin of the goods.
In total, the officers seized 1,500 packs of cigarettes, 5,255 bags of tobacco, and 12,936 units of various products.
Finally, the team transported the goods, along with the driver, to the Capim Grosso Police Station for appropriate legal action.
