Participation in the inaugural meeting of the External Commission on Acts of Piracy and the “Brasil Legal”
On March 10th, the Brand Protection Group – BPG participated in the inaugural meeting of the External Commission on Acts of Piracy and the “Brasil Legal” Agenda, organized by the Joint Parliamentary Front in Defense of Intellectual Property and Combating Piracy, which took place in the Chamber of Deputies. Luiz Claudio Garé, Legal and Institutional Relations Consultant at BPG, attended the event.
The commission aims to discuss and promote actions to combat irregularities that harm the economy, free competition, tax collection, job creation, and consumer rights.
During the meeting, the work plan that will guide the commission’s public hearings was approved, focusing on mobilizing Brazilian states and institutions.
We congratulate everyone involved in this important initiative and reaffirm our commitment to supporting the protection of intellectual property and strengthening more effective actions to combat counterfeiting and piracy throughout the country.
