BPG 2025 International Seminar – Joinville, Santa Catarina
On August 20 and 21, 2025, the Brand Protection Group – BPG held the International Seminar – Joining Efforts to Combat the Illegal Market across Borders and Jurisdictions.
This year, the event was held in Joinville, Santa Catarina, and brought together 87 participants, including representatives of member brands and public authorities from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. The event was attended by bodies such as the Federal Revenue Service, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Civil Police, the Federal Highway Police, the Federal Police, the Scientific Police, PROCON, INPI and State Secretariats.
The program included panel discussions on combating the illegal market from the point of view of authorities and trademark holders, as well as practical training in recognizing counterfeit products.
On this occasion, new working and partnership intentions were formalized, including the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with TRACIT – Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade and CALPYC – Cámara de Lucha contra lá Piretería y el Contrabando, strengthening global alliance partnerships and the association’s brand protection ecosystem.
