Enforcement activities – PRF seizes 15,000 pairs of counterfeit shoes bound for São Miguel do Oeste
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized approximately 15,000 pairs of counterfeit shoes late on Monday afternoon (14), at around 5.30pm, on the BR-376 highway in Maringá (PR). The cargo was in two trucks and was destined for the city of São Miguel do Oeste (SC).
The truck drivers did not present the tax documents for the products. They claimed to have loaded the goods in Nova Serrana (MG). According to the PRF, the shoes seized are imitations of well-known brands.
The cargo was seized and the drivers were taken to the Maringá Civil Police Station. The police authorities will be responsible for investigating crimes against industrial property.
