PRF arrests group with BRL 90,000 in goods without invoices

Around BRL 90,000 worth of goods without invoices were seized by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on Tuesday (23/7), in Luziânia, on the outskirts of the Federal District. Four people responsible for the goods were also arrested. Bought in Paraguay, the goods were to be resold in the Federal District.

The police team was patrolling the area when they saw a vehicle, a VW T-Cross model, speeding and driving in a risky manner. The officers began to follow the vehicle and ordered it to stop so that the car could be inspected.

The PRF soon noticed a large quantity of goods inside the car – most of them electronic devices. After being questioned, the driver of the car said he was coming from Paraguay and that he had no tax documentation for any of the products, which characterizes the crime of embezzlement, which is when goods enter Brazil without due payment of duty or taxes.

After checks, the police found drones, cosmetics, TV equipment, cell phones and computer equipment. As a result, embezzlement was found and the vehicle and goods were seized by the Federal Revenue.
