Police caught counterfeit beverage factory while executing arrest warrant for domestic violence
The case was registered in the Parque Recreio neighborhood, in São Manuel (SP). In addition to the arrest for domestic violence, man was also arrested in flagrante delicto for the crime of forgery, adulteration and sale of substance or food products.
The Civil Police caught on this Tuesday (23) morning a clandestine factory of production and sale of counterfeit alcoholic beverages, in the Parque Recreio neighborhood, in São Manuel (SP). A man was arrested in the operation.
According to the Civil Police, the team went to a residence to fulfill an arrest warrant against the man for domestic violence and, at the site, the officers came across a large amount of boxes of domestic and imported drinks, bottles of syrups, meters and gallons, where the products were adulterated and then offered for sale in commerce.
In addition to serving the arrest for domestic violence, the man was also arrested in flagrante delicto for the crime of forgery, adulteration and sale of substance or food products. The penalty for this crime ranges from 4 to 8 years in prison.
The man, whose identity was not disclosed, was sent to the police station of São Manuel and is at the disposal of Justice.
