Operation against counterfeiting is carried out in Nova Serrana.

Civil Police action was carried out on Thursday (18). Fifteen factories are the target of the operation.

Search and seizure orders were filed at 15 factories in Nova Serrana on Thursday (18). According to information from the Civil Police, the action was carried out by the Delegacy of Prevention to Organized Crime (Draco) and had as its objective to combat the manufacture of counterfeit products.

According to police, the operation was triggered after requests from representatives of major brands. In all, more than 1 million shoes were seized, such as sandals, sneakers and slippers, and purses.

Police also seized products that were on the city’s carriers and would be responsible for distributing the products in states in Northeast Brazil and in cities in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

According to the Civil Police, 10 owners who were found in the factories were taken to the Special Operations Office in Belo Horizonte to provide clarification along with the material seized in the action.

Also according to the Police, the businessmen led to the police station may respond for crimes against brand and crime against the consumption relationship.
