PM closes laboratory of counterfeit alcoholic beverages in Goiânia
They found counterfeit vodka and whisky, plus a number of materials such as dyes, labels, water with alcohol, cardboard boxes and fake seals.
The Military Police closed, on Saturday (2), a laboratory of counterfeit alcoholic beverages in Goiânia. The operation was conducted by the Special Operations Battalion (BOPE) and resulted in the arrest of three people.
According to the Military Police (PM), the Battalion was activated through the BOPE complaint. The agents entered two residences located on C-18 Street at 4:30 p.m., and found a large amount of counterfeit vodka and whiskey. They also found a number of materials such as dyes, labels, water with alcohol, cardboard boxes and fake seals.
The action of BOPE is part of the Carnival Operation, which was launched on Friday (1st). The agents informed Mais Goiás news that the hygiene conditions were bad and that the place had a series of products harmful to health. The police also found a notebook with a series of notes. Among them, a list with many bars and shops located in the Marist Sector. Locals are targeted as buyers of fake products.
Three people were arrested during the operation. Anísio Dias dos Santos, 52, his son, Amilton Dias dos Santos, 34, and Joel Correia da Silva, 51 years old. Father and son do not have passages by the police. Joel was arrested for the same crime in May 2018, in the municipality of Anápolis. He responds to the process in freedom.
