Police seize two tons of clothing and material for counterfeiting in Duque de Caxias

DRCPIM – Delegacy of Repression to Crimes against Immaterial Property arrested a man who will respond for the crime of counterfeiting. The factory was producing around 20 thousand items for month, said the police.

 

Officials from DRCPIM, coordinated by the delegate Mauricio Demetrio, arrested on Tuesday (11st) a man in a illegal factory that produced more than 20,000 pieces per month in Duque de Caxias, in the Baixada Fluminense. At the scene, which according to police was one of the largest in Rio, were seized 2 tons of clothing and material to counterfeit clothes. Among the items were branded apparel and products to soccer teams. Leonardo Paes de Freitas, 30, was arrested and will be held responsible for the crime of forgery.
