Load with 3 tons of fake glasses and watches from China is intercepted in Santos Port

Three tons of fake products were seized in Santos Port, São Paulo’s coast, during inspection by Federal Revenue. The load, proceeding form China, was evaluated in R$ 7,343,916.00 and would be distributed in irregular trade zones around the country.

Among the seized products were sunglasses, glasses frames, hand watches of many types that carried, illegally, the trademark of international companies. The counterfeit was proved, according to the Tax administration, by mean of authenticity report featured by the firms.

The flagrant action has been made by the Team of Special Operation (Eqope) of the Customs. The goods were in a container shipped in Hong Kong Port. In the documents, was the information that the metallic box transported unaccompanied luggage.
