The DRCPIM in Pernambuco seized R$42.000,00 in counterfeit products
Dr. Germano Cunha Bezerra from DEPRIM/PE, after two weeks of investigation carried out today a Police operation that resulted in the seizure of more than 2.027 (two thousand and twenty seven) counterfeit watches that were being sold in two different stores in Camelódromo, downtown Recife, estimating a seizure of about R$ 42.000,00 (forty and two thousand reais). The traders were taken to the police station, where they were charged and interrogated.
As soon as the expert report is issued proving the infraction, they will be indicted for crimes against Intellectual property, fraud in trade, crimes against consumer relations, and reception of stolen goods.
Two separate Police investigations were initiated, and I request, with the readiness that this matter demands, that the criminal records that are deemed appropriate be sent to us.
