PRF authorities seizes 300 bottles of wine in Porto Amazonas/PR
Some of the wines cost over R$300 in the national market.
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized this Monday afternoon (15) 300 bottles of wine that entered the country illegally. The seizure occurred on BR-277, in the city of Porto Amazonas/PR and the entire shipment was in a Fiat Palio.
During the inspection, it was verified that the car was loaded with 75 boxes of wine of various brands, with some bottles costing over R$ 300 on supermarket shelves. The 34-year-old driver told the police that he had loaded the vehicle in Argentina and was heading to the capital of Paraná.
The driver, the cargo, and the vehicle were forwarded to the Federal Police. He will answer for the crime of smuggling.
