Police seizes more than 194 thousand counterfeit products in operation against piracy in the countryside of SP
The Civil Police seized about 194.8 thousand counterfeit products on this Wednesday (12), during an operation against piracy in the cities of Aparecida and Potim, in São Paulo countryside.
According to the State Department of Criminal Investigation (DEIC), search and seizure warrants were served on clothing manufacturers specializing in counterfeiting sports equipment.
During the operation, mainly shirts of national teams and football teams were seized, as well as thousands of loose coats of arms that were ready to be sewn.
The warrants were served by police officers from the 1st Anti-piracy DIG Police Station. The teams caught the production lines in operation.
According to the police, the local targets were identified from investigations and analysis of seizures made at points of popular trade.
All the material was seized and will be forwarded for expertise. Those responsible for the confections will be investigated for crime against industrial property.
