Federal Revenue seizes R$800,000 in counterfeit and contraband products in Ituiutaba/MG

On the morning of April 9th, the Federal Revenue Service and the Federal Police served search and seizure orders on three stores in the city of Ituiutaba/MG. In the action, counterfeit products were seized, such as clothing items, bags, backpacks, cups and thermoses, glasses, shoes, among others.

In one of the stores, 50 electronic cigarettes and accessories were found, characterizing the crime of smuggling. The electronic cigarettes and the person in charge of the shop were taken to the Federal Police headquarters in Uberlândia.

The estimated market value of the seized products is approximately R$800,000.

By cracking down on smuggling and embezzlement, with the consequent seizure of imported products in Minas Gerais, the Federal Revenue Service is demonstrating that it is carrying out its institutional mission of administering the tax and customs system, contributing to the country’s economic and social well-being.
