Enforcement activities – Property used to store counterfeit drinks is discovered in Campo Limpo Paulista
The São Paulo Civil Police identified a property in Campo Limpo Paulista used for storing counterfeit drinks on Monday. At the site, 159 full bottles were seized, as well as 220 empty bottles, all with labels of well-known brands and signs of adulteration.
According to investigators, the space was used as a clandestine warehouse for supplies and products ready for distribution. The discovery came after an investigation by the 1st General Investigations Police Station (DIG) in Campinas, which works to combat fraud and crimes against public health.
The man responsible for the property was arrested on the spot and brought to justice. Investigations are continuing to trace the origin of the production and map possible distribution channels in the region.
The authorities are warning of the health risks associated with the consumption of unproven beverages, which may contain toxic or contaminated substances.
