Enforcement activities – PRE seizes R$100,000 in illegally imported products in Maringá
A cargo worth around R$100,000 in perfumes and electronics was seized on Saturday (17th) on the PR-317 highway in Maringá. The products, of foreign origin, were being transported without proper customs clearance, which constitutes the crime of embezzlement.
The approach took place at around 9:10 am, at km 105 of the highway. According to the PRE (State Highway Police), the officers were on their way to the headquarters of the 4th Company of the BPRv (Highway Police Battalion) when they were overtaken by a GM/Cobalt with license plates from Belo Horizonte (MG), which was traveling at high speed and had its rear end visibly lowered.
Durante a fiscalização, os policiais encontraram os produtos ilegais no interior do veículo. Por orientação da Polícia Federal, tanto o carro quanto os ocupantes foram levados ao pátio da Receita Federal de Maringá, onde o automóvel foi lacrado na presença do condutor.
