Civil Police closes illegal factory of sandals in Baixada Fluminense
Counterfeit footwear and equipments were valuet at R$ 1 million.
A factory of counterfeit sandals was closed by the Delegacy of Repression to Crimes against Immaterial Property (DRCPIM-RJ), last Tuesday (21st), in Belford Roxo, Baixada Fluminense.
More that 2 thousand pairs of sandals, counterfeit raw material and equipments were seized and valued at R$ 1 million.
The factory, that was distributing products to Baixada Fluminense and places nearby, was inside Shagri La Favela and was detected after investigations, according to the police. A suspect identified as Deceir Mendonça, was taken to the delecacy to testify.
The delegate, Maurício Demétrio, believes that the owner is one of the local militia chiefs, a suspect known as “Dito” and that the factory belongs to a gang.
