Cargo of counterfeit footwear valued at half a million reais is seized by Decarga

There are five thousand pairs of counterfeit sneakers, products from several famous brands such as Nike, Mizuno, All Star, among others.

A box truck with five thousand pairs of counterfeit shoes, valued at R$ 500,000, was seized by Decarga police station on the highways of Feira de Santana.

According to police chief Gustavo Coutinho, the seizure came after an anonymous tip and the truck was found in the vicinity of the Gabriela neighborhood.

According to him, the cargo would be divided into other smaller trucks and this type of merchandise usually comes from the city of Nova Serrana, in Minas Gerais, a place that concentrates large factories of pirated products. “There are five thousand pairs of sneakers, fake of original products from several famous brands such as Nike, Mizuno, All Star, among others.

The driver of the seized truck was arrested a second time carrying counterfeit goods. All the seized cargo will be handed over to the legal representatives of the brands that have been counterfeited, and the material will be kept in custody until the Court decides what will be done.
