Almost 5 thousand pieces of underwear are seized inside the car transported by a tow truck in Levy Gasparian.

Driver was approached by police officers when passing through the Fiscal Post of Operation Focus, on BR-040, at the height of the Gulf neighborhood.

Almost five thousand pieces of underwear were seized on Tuesday (17) on BR-040, in Levy Gasparian (RJ). The material was inside a car transported by a tow truck.

According to the Military Police, part of the merchandise was without an invoice and the other part was suspected of being counterfeit.

Also according to the MP, the tow trucks are being used by criminals to circumvent the police and pass through the checkpoint with counterfeit products.

The driver told the agents that the products were purchased in the city of Campos Altos (MG) and would be taken to a shop in the municipality of Bom Jardim, in the Mountainous Region of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The man was fined and all the seized material was taken to the police station of Três Rios, where the occurrence was registered.
