Woman arrested carrying 356 kg of fake clothes
The author confessed that she would receive R$ 400 for the transport.
During ostensive policing conducted this Sunday afternoon (27), in the upscale neighborhoods of Corumbá city, the Military Police team was suspicious of a vehicle, which was carrying large packages inside, similar to bales.
When approached, the 26-year-old driver said she had been hired to bring the goods, and that all the bales were clothes. According to her, the contractor was a Bolivian, who would pay the amount of R$ 400 for her to transport the bales using the settlement’s roads.
Faced with the confession, the driver was referred to the Federal Revenue Office, at the Esdras tax station, so that the necessary measures could be adopted. All the goods were weighed and totalled 356.8 kilos of clothes (T-shirts and shorts).
The goods were seized and the vehicle used was retained in the courtyard of the checkpoint.
