The Police seized 20 thousand products in the Pernambuco wilderness
Approximately 20 thousand counterfeit products were seized on Monday in an operation of the DPRIM – Police station against the immaterial property in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, in Pernambuco. According to the police, as soon as the report confirm counterfeiting, the owners will be charged with crime against intellectual property, consumer relationship, fraud in trading, and receiving stolen products.
“This operation main objective was to seize thousands of counterfeit goods that were being sold in the core fashion stores, in the city. Dozens of stores were interrogated and the products are being counted”, said the Chief of Police Germano Bezerra.It was seized clothing, such as t-shirts, shorts and hats, and even glasses. The owners were notified to appear at the Police station next Wednesday.
