Barreira Fiscal Operation seizes more than one ton of counterfeit products without tax documentation
Officers from the Barreira Fiscal Post at Nhangapi, in Itatia, seized this Wednesday (11/23), in an operation with Customs, a cargo with ton of counterfeit purses, pens, blouses and shorts without receipt, and 700 kilos of toys and sunglasses. The goods were found in 3 tour buses that came from Brás, in São Paulo, and were going to Rio de Janeiro. The shipping company, which circulated with the merchandise without tax documentation, was charged and the counterfeit products were seized and sent to the Customs warehouse in Rio de Janeiro.
The Operation Barreira Fiscal was organized by the Federal State Department with the objective to support the State Treasury Department to inspect the transit of goods in the State and to end the Brazilian state excise tax evasion, as well as to operate to seize drugs, weapons, and counterfeit products and to fight environmental crimes.
