Federal Revenue Office seizes tourism bus transporting illegal goods on BR-277
On Thursday (02) afternoon, the Federal Revenue Office seized a tour bus on BR-277, near Santa Teresa do Oeste. The vehicle was carrying a large amount of foreign goods such as electronics, mobile phones and clothing, without proof of regular importation.
According to information from the IRS, the bus left Foz do Iguaçu heading to Sao Paulo, but was intercepted during routine inspection. During the approach, the agents found that the vehicle did not have an ANTT authorization for the trip, which constituted another violation.
All bus passengers were qualified and released, while the goods and the vehicle were submitted to the Federal Revenue Office in Cascavel for procedures. The cargo will be evaluated and those responsible will be notified to regularize the situation.
